Indigenous Central
Covering the areas of Lake Country, Kelowna, and West Kelowna the central Okanagan has a lot to offer the cultural traveller. Here you will find a number of both licensed and unlicensed cannabis outlets; some that operate within the band's sovereign legislation, evaluation, and taxation policies; and some that are licensed by Health Canada and the Province of BC. In Canada, each band was given the freedom to make its own business decisions and do not need Health Canada or Canada Revenue Agency approval or overreach. As a result of this, you will find products "on the rez" that you won't find anywhere else. On the flip side there is no mandated quality assurance testing as you will see in licensed shops.
